The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of manufacturing processes and products. This role involves developing quality control systems, performing inspections, and working closely with production teams to maintain high standards of product quality and compliance with industry regulations.

Education:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Knowledge on ISO standards, 5s, Lean, Six sigma, Kaizen, Sampling Plan [AQL] is added advantages.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment preferably in Refrigeration industry.
  • Hands-on experience with quality control tools and techniques, including statistical analysis, inspection methods, and testing protocols.

Roles and responsibilities:

Inspection and Testing:

  • Identify & Establish CTQ [Critical To Quality], CTP [Critical To Product] parameters and Quality Assurance Plan [QAP].
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Use precision measurement tools and equipment to verify product dimensions and functionality.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.

Problem-Solving and Improvement:

  • Identify defects or non-conformities in products and processes through root cause analysis.
  • Implement correction & corrective actions (CA) to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve quality problems and enhance processes.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, inspection results, and non-conformance issues.
  • Communicate quality-related issues and performance trends to management and other stakeholders.

Collaboration and Training:

  • Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to support quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide training and guidance on quality control procedures and best practices to production staff.

Skills:

  • Knowledge on quality control principles and manufacturing processes specific to refrigeration system manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in using measurement instruments and quality control software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require working in both office and manufacturing environments.
