Technical Specifications

Rinac Walk-In Cold Rooms include Walk-In Chillers and Walk-In Freezers designed for Indian operating conditions (high ambient heat, heavy-duty usage, and strict temperature control). These modular rooms are built for applications across food & beverage, dairy, pharma/vaccines, hospitality, and cold-chain logistics. Walk-In Chillers (Cold Rooms): typically used for chilled storage (commonly 0°C to +4°C for many food use-cases; +2°C to +8°C is widely used for pharma/vaccine programs). Walk-In Freezers: typically designed for frozen storage at ≤ -18°C (common frozen storage anchor in India).

Why Choose Walk-In Chillers & Freezers for Your Storage Needs

Frequently Asked Questions

A walk-in chiller stores products above freezing (often 0°C to +4°C for chilled foods; +2°C to +8°C for many pharma/vaccine programs). A walk-in freezer is designed for frozen storage, commonly at ≤ -18°C.

Size depends on SKU volume, door openings, product load, pull-down needs, and ambient heat load. It’s best to do a heat-load calculation and layout plan before finalizing capacity.

Often yes, especially when insulation, doors, controls, and refrigeration are specified correctly for the site and usage patterns.

Use a Walk-In Chiller for fresh produce, dairy, beverages, and chilled food preparation. Typical operating temperatures range from 0°C to +4°C for food, and +2°C to +8°C for many pharmaceutical or vaccine programs.

Use a Walk-In Freezer for frozen foods, meat, seafood, and long-term storage. These applications generally require temperatures of –18°C or below.

For mixed operations such as QSRs, retail back rooms, or distribution centers handling both chilled and frozen products, a dual-zone or combination solution is recommended, with separate temperature zones for chilled and frozen storage.

Note: Final temperature settings should always align with your HACCP plan, product labels, and operating SOPs.
